Cloth out in the wild

Cloth out in the wild

How to use cloth out and about

Taking the step to use cloth nappies can be daunting and once you get use to actually using them at home you suddenly remember that you can’t spend your life at home and will eventually need to leave the house. This is when a lot of people will use disposables for their conveniency but im here to tell you that using cloth nappies while out and about really isnt any harder compared to disposables infact in most cases its just as easy or maybe even easier!

Things you will need to be successful with cloth nappies out in the wild are, nappies, wipes (cloth or disposable), mini wetbags and at least one regular/double pocket wetbag. A change mat and cloth wipes are optional.
Now you’ve got all the items required its as simple as finding a place to change bub. Once you’ve changed bub all you do is put the dirty nappy and wipes in the mini wetbags, into the regular/double pocket wetbag, wash your hands and off you go. Once you get home you just add the dirty things to your dry pail and its as easy as that!

Best part is that if you can’t find a change room you are already prepared for carrying a dirty nappy around, imagine if you had disposables you had to carry around with no bag to try and contain any of the smell!

Now I’m going to be completely honest here, you will get ALOT of odd looks when you are changing in public. People will ask questions and be curious, as annoying as that can be at times its also a fantastic things that you are able to expose more people to cloth nappies. Oh and while still being honest, you will forget you have a dirty nappy in the nappy bag/car at least once and oh boy will the car stink! Yes im talking from personal experience, it was not a fun time getting back into the car after that one!
